All courses approved for the MSETM program are offered through the OSU's Engineering Distance Education Office.
The format is CDRom with a supporting Blackboard(R) website. Lecture videos are stored along with related course
materials are packaged on the CD for easy portability (no internet connection is required to view the lectures). Internet
access is required to participate in the program. Additional course materials and functions, including interaction
with other students and faculty, are available through the course website or via electronic mail.
Students who live near one of our OSU campuses may also consider taking some courses in a live format.
Students will need RealPlayer to view the video lectures. A free copy is available at
http://www.real.com/
Once you have Real Player installed

Other Options
Students who reside near one of our branch campuses may also enroll for some MSETM related classes in
a traditional on-campus format. Not all courses needed for the degree will be offered in this traditional
format.
Additionally, students whose employer has a videoconferencing system linked to OneNet may also participate in some
courses via this method.
In either case, you should speak to your adviser prior to enrolling in a delivery method other than CD Rom to ensure
all services are available.
